Widgit Online: How to set up a group user account

A group user account is a single Widgit Online account with multiple users, making it easy to work collaboratively and share documents.

Users can have different roles and permissions assigned to them - see User Types in Group Accounts

 

Converting a trial account

If you already have a trial account set up, you can convert this to a full account by following these instructions:

  • From the top right hand corner, select Settings 

  • Then select Subscriptions from the menu

 

  • Enter the 24 digit licence key that you received with your purchase and click Submit key

 

Your account will now be valid for the duration of your subscription. The Subscriptions page will give you an overview of your account and the expiry date.

 

Setting up a brand new account

To create a new account:

  • Enter the 24 digit licence key that you received with your purchase and click Next

 

  • The Language and Location section of the sign up form will have been entered automatically based on the licence key.  You have the option to add a trial of the Dual Language add-on here.

  • Create a Group Name and Group ID that you will easily remember

  • Enter the details of the Group Administrator - this is the person who will manage the account

  • Enter the Billing Contact details.  This can be the Administrator on the account or you can add a specific email address e.g bursar@myschool.com

  • If you have a promotional key, please enter this and then use the drop down box to let us know how you heard about Widgit.

  • Finally, let us know if you would like to receive updates, tick to accept our Terms and Conditions then click Sign up

 

You will be taken to the Welcome screen and we highly recommend that you watch the Getting Started video
